A little about me...
I was born into a musical family in North Yorkshire. My journey as a musician began at age 6 playing the recorder, then the piano, followed by the clarinet a few years later. When I first played the saxophone as a teenager, I fell in love with it! I progressed rapidly, achieving ABRSM grade 8 distinction after 3 years and began playing with the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain. I took up the flute several years after that. I also love to sing!

I gained my music degree- BMus (Hons) and my diploma- LGSMD at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, in London. My teaching career began whilst I was studying. I now have over 25 years extensive teaching experience throughout London, Bermuda, Newcastle and North Yorkshire. This encompasses individual and group work in primary and secondary schools (state and private), in music schools, and as
a private tutor.

I specialise in teaching saxophone and clarinet, but I also have some experience of teaching flute, piano and recorder. Students of all ages and on all instruments, have achieved excellent exam results under my tuition- my ABRSM exam pass rate has been 100% for over 25 years.
As a versatile musician, playing soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxes, clarinet, flute and singing vocals, I have a wealth of experience performing in a wide variety of ensembles including: function bands, saxophone quartets/ ensembles, big bands, wind orchestras and musical theatre bands.
Highlights include recording sessions for DJ Raw Deal, gigs at Ronnie Scott’s, The West Yorkshire Playhouse and at various other venues in London, Bermuda, North Yorkshire and throughout the North East.
